Latest News Prakash Raj can finally smile and rest in peace. His long awaited film `Mayilu’ is ready to hit the theaters next month and if reports are anything to go by, the South Indian audience will be able to enjoy `Mayilu’ this year on Christmas. In a statement to the media, the producer confirms the great news saying that he has his hopes pinned on the film which may well come across as a different film in the history of Tamil cinema.
Prakash Raj’s `Mayilu’ has been shot in the Usilmapatti village and though work on the film was over in the beginning of October this year, it was the post-production work that kept the producer busy for more than a month. Reports claim that the entire film had been shot by director Jeevan in a span of 45 days.
`Mayilu’ which stars Shri and Shammu in the lead roles has music by renowned composer Ilaiyaraaja who has tried his best to add to the rustic feel in the film. Since the entire film had been shot in a village, it was very essential for Prakash Raj to keep in mind that the music too, has to have a rustic flavor in it. The South Indian audiences have been hearing about `Mayilu’ since two years and excitement surrounding its release is expected to be very high.
