Rajya Sabha, On Tuesday, the members of the Rajya Sabha protested against the Women’s Reservation Bill and the House was adjourned within the minutes of reconvening. Vice President Hamid Ansari adjourned the House for an hour after the members started shouting slogans against the bill.

Meanwhile, RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav also actively protested against the Women’s Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha which forced the Speaker to adjourn the House for 15 minutes.

Sharad Yadav, Lalu Prasad and Mulayam Singh Yadav who are not in favour of the bill had met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the morning and discussed about the problems they have with the Women Reservation Bill.

Previously on Monday members of Samajwadi party and RJD had disrupted the proceedings prior to the passing of the Women's Reservation Bill.
