India Not Resuming Composite Dialogue With Pakistan: Krishna

NEW DELHI: Indian External Affairs Minister SM Krishna says India is not restarting the Composite Dialogue with Pakistan just yet and that the talks between the foreign secretaries of the two countries will be formal.





In an exclusive interview to Indian news channel, Krishna said the talks that are related at the level of foreign secretary, in order to carry forward the core issue as far as India is concerned about terror and terror driven activities, we thought that it is necessary to engage Pakistan in dialogue.


“Hence we offered that the talks take place at the level of foreign secretaries. We do not know what issues Pakistan Foreign Secretary is going to raise. The brief for our secretary is that terror is the centre and focus point of talks,” said Krishna.


Krishna also clarified that the composite dialogues between India and Pakistan have been suspended and will not happen anytime soon.
